The potato soup was the best I ever tasted and I used to think Fatz had the best potato soup, think this one has them beat...different places seem to make it too cheesy so that it gets too stringy lifting the spoon..they didn't put too much cheese and just enough bacon bits and green onion to achieve just the right flavor. It was just the right texture, not too creamy . Love their bread, cesar salad with shrimp had nice green fresh romaine lettuce and I counted at least 6 shrimps, not like 3 or 4 you get at some places. Waiter was excellent , don't know what his name was, tall, slender white guy with a beard. Only been here twice..may need to come back more often. I guess I just always associated the name Outback with beef/steaks and I don't eat red meat anymore. There is actually a variety of decently priced entrees on the menu.

This place is a great location for me, so it's an easy stop for dinner! Repeatedly, I've had great service, and great food. If there's ever been a problem, our server has addressed it, and I've never had a server I didn't like there. The only reason I wouldn't give this location a 5 star rating is because of a host I've encountered 2 or 3 times who is one of the most rude people I've ever met. Some Hollister-shirt clad boy with an attitude shouldn't be welcoming guests if you ask me. The last time we stopped in, we were told there was a problem with the little buzzer things for seating, and our wait would be ~15 minutes. After 40 minutes passed and we still had not been buzzed or called, as we were standing right next to the host stand, I just asked him if we were still on the list. He said to me "Yeah we buzzed you and you never came so I just put you as a no-show and called the next person." As if I hadn't been standing next to him for the past 40 minutes. Whatever. He looked 16 so I'm sure he hasn't learned about his manners yet.

We went here for lunch on Saturday because we were in North Charleston getting a tire fixed. It wasn't our first lunch choice, but it was convenient to the tire shop so we walked over. They were renovating but still pretty busy. Our servers were nice and attentive, bringing us bread when we wanted it, extra dressings, etc. The food was typical Outback, but we didn't have any problems with it. Everything came out very timely as well, without much waiting between the appetizers/salad/main courses, but not so quickly to where all the courses end up at the table at the same time :). We went here for the Yelp Elite event a few months ago and this was our first trip to Outback since, but we still thought it was great.

Its Outback! Our waitress was very energetic and attentive. This was our first time having lunch at an Outback and their lunch menu is huge with several healthy options. We ordered salads and they were saturated with dressing. Since that was our meal it was a bit disappointing but not inedible.

Our recent meal here was awesome. Our waitress Haley was likewise incredible. I really liked her fun and genuine disposition, her attentiveness to our needs, her offering us additional information on available food and drink options... She's the best server that I can remember. (After moving here from Louisiana a year ago, she's actually going to open her own food truck here in two or three months. It will serve Creole and Cajun foods. I look forward to checking it out and seeing her again.) My Baby Back Ribs (with their homemade tangy BBQ sauce) was really good. As a side, I ordered their Sweet Potato (with honey butter and brown sugar) with a small container of extra brown sugar. I ordered a cocktail called Huckleberry Moonshine something or other which was very good. I also tried their Blackberry Sangria which was terrific and I liked even better. My mom and sister's meals were good too but they felt like their steaks, while very tender, lacked the seasonings they normally have. Because it was Mother's Day weekend, they both got Mother's Day specials including a salad, entree, and dessert for a discounted price.

Our waitress, Diane or Diana (sorry, I can't remember which) was amazing today!! She was so fun/energetic & made sure we had everything we needed. She was the best waitress we have ever had at any restaurant!! The food/drinks were also great. We had a great experience & we are making Outback in North Charleston our go-to restaurant when we are in town, for sure!

My husband and I went there Dec 26th around 115pm they were not busy at all. We ordered I ordered the chopped steak no mushrooms. Waited waited we got our order finally. Well mine had mushrooms. I wasn't going to say anything just pick them off but the more I picked off the more were inbedded into the steak so after about 15 minutes the waitress came to check on us. I informed her that it was not correct. She kinda da huffed and said I will order you another one. I asked her just to make it to go as by now mu husband was almost done eating. We waited another 25 minutes she came back wad let me check and bring your food out. Again I'm please put in a to go box as my husband is done. It took another 10 to 15 minutes she had t he manager bring it out and tell how sorry he wad about the mix up and mine was no charge. Thanks that was nice but yall still messed up my steak for the second time. Gee I hate to see if they are busy. Next time we will go to west ashley

Don't go here unless you've built up your patience. From the difficult-to-maneuver, small parking lot to the extended wait times, it's better to come here during off hours or when you're only slightly hungry and have some time to burn. We've been to this location twice in the past week due to a craving for their amazing cheese fries (must have a doctors note to order these). This last time we showed up before six on a Saturday and told 45 minutes. As it was Saturday we decided to stick it out since we thought most places would have a wait and by the time we squeezed out of the lot and got somewhere else it'd be a wash. 35 minutes into the wait we were told 15 more minutes. By 55 minutes they changed their minds and said they didn't want to give us a time. We were finally seated after 65 minutes. We were seated by the manager who we informed of our discontent. She apologized and never came back by our table. The waitress was very attentive. Although it was a busy night and she had several tables, she refilled my water about four times. She was always cheerful. I doubt we will return unless we don't find cheese fries like that and we have a few hours to sit in the Charleston heat.

awesome, awesome, awesome! I love outback! If you're trying the blooming onion...just eat that for a meal b/c it is huge! Or it would be great with a large group. I love the steaks and stuffed shrimp! Might go there tonight and try some wine, so I'll post a review on that too!

What an ordeal. I haven't been here since the renovation a few years ago, and boy did they eff it up. Never before have I been so crammed into such a tiny booth. It is supposed to seat four, but can only really hold two comfortably (one per side). Our feet kept stepping on the person across from us; there IS NO elbow room; the table is jammed into my stomach; and there is NO room for plates, drinks, bread tray, blooming onion and all those damn advertisements of all their drinks and desserts and specials. It's almost like they want you to be uncomfortable so you eat and get out so they can serve more people. To make things worse, it is the day after mothers day and it seems many people put off the celebration 24hours, so it was extra busy tonight. Our server told us they were understaffed and it showed in the long waits for drinks and food. I had asked for a side of mayo for my Classic Cheeseburger, but it didn't make it. There is no ketchup on the tables anymore, so I asked the guy who brought the meal (not out server), but he never showed back up. Had to ask twice before it finally came. I'd much rather have condiments on the table instead of all those advertisements. You just can't eat and enjoy french fries without ketchup. Luckily, the hamburger was juicy enough, so I really didn't need the mayo which never came. If I was rating just the food, I'd give it 3 and 1/2 stars. But this total experience made it only two stars. Opt for a table, and not a booth, is my advise if you go. Comfort food, yeah. Comfort seat, nay.

First of all, I would like to note that I am a huge Outback Steakhouse fan. This location....meh. -Parking is odd (you'll see) -Restaurant seems a bit dated -Waitress was (mostly) good -Salad was lacking...some lettuce, a sprinkle of cheese. Still had a good flavor, but SMALL! -Ordered Medium Rare Steak - was almost raw -Asked for an item with the meal (onion for flavoring), never got it -The best part, one of the waiters dropped a glass of iced water and splashed me pretty good. Accidents happen, but he seemed to think the whole thing was great fun. Also, some water got on my phone and ipad (fortunately, that was just a couple drops) -At this point, I asked for the check (was offered a comp desert for getting splashed and declined) -When the waitress brought the check, they had knocked a whopping five dollars off the check with a notation "spill". I may just retire early. Woohoo!!! -So, if forced to grade pass/fail, then FAIL!!! -Given I am/was out of town, I was happy to find the place, but not happy when I left.

I'm going to assume that this was just a matter of bad timing or something off in the universe. I am in town for a few days and thought Outback would be great for lunch since my restaurant at home is great. It started with the hostess being MIA when I got here (it was about 2pm on a Thursday), so I was on the verge of leaving after standing there for a good 2 mins before being acknowledged by anyone. Finally, the hostess seated me, then launched into the specials, though did not ask about my drink. I sat waiting for my server for a noticeable amount of time before she appeared. I knew exactly what I wanted, since I love Outback. Without detailing my order, I was thorough and specific, and it was still incorrect. The bread (that was not requested) was so stale that I took one bite and sent it back, my broccoli was overcooked, and my lobster tail was rubbery. To their credit, the staff was friendly when they were there, and my steak was good. Thank goodness I don't live here, because Outback would be out for me if this was my only option.

Excellent service. Good atmosphere. From hostess staff to waitress this was a great experience. This location is very clean. I ordered a steak/shrimp combo and my food was perfect. My steak was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend.

Outback Steakhouse has been serving patrons throughout the country for 25 years and their reputation is built on diverse food selections, value and great customer service. I had the opportunity to try some of their new drink and appetizer menu items and was first incredibly impressed with the staff. Individuals like Tim and Blair behind the bar had a smile all night long no matter how busy it got and they were ready to field a few questions we had about the restaurant and recommendations. They have a number of enticing offers now. On Wednesday, you can have a three course meal for 11.99. And now they are introducing $4.00 drink and appetizer specials. Outback isn't just about a steak dinner anymore. I can be about just drinks and snacks. This locations has a very spacious bar area with NHL Ticket, NFL and college games to watch if that is your fancy.

I actually gave an Outback back in California 4 stars because of their decent quality food and ability to serve gluten free food without severe cross contamination issues. But this Outback ... I am having flashbacks thinking about it. The food took abnormally long, and when it came out, I suspect our lazy server had let it sit under the heat lamp for 15 minutes. This was the worst thing I'd ever eaten. I can feel myself getting nauseous even thinking about it. Not sure what the hell happened since it was non rush in the afternoon with no one in the place, but holy heck, I will never eat at another Outback again.

Well, that was an experience. Took about 25 min to get our drinks. The best part was waiting for the Mayo for my burger that ended up being cold by the time I ate it. Unfortunately that New Years dinner was a total bust.

I have been to this restaurant now on 5 different occasions. Don't know why they don't get a higher rating that 3 stars. In either case; the last 4 times the service has been simply outstanding and today was no exception. They simply rock. The food was excellent too! We ordered chicken bites as appetizer. The best chicken bites we ever had! That's a lot to say considering we travel all over the US and practically the world. We also ordered the Victoria Fillet with the unlimited shrimps and the baby back ribs. All tasty and fresh! Again, the service was outstanding. The only reason why I don't give them 5 stars is due to the excessive waiting time for the food to come out, however they explained over and over again they were overwhelmed in the kitchen. I also noticed they were short on staff, so we were very patience considering the circumstances and the great service. We'll be back of course.

As a longtime outback goer... What happens when a bad idea combines with bad execution, you get a real bad steakhouse experience. This location in charleston got everyone of 6 Victoria Filet orders wrong. The filets were all overcooked and dried out. The one person who insisted on sending it back also got a wrongly cooked steak coming out rare instead of medium. Where does the bad idea come in, the chain has downgraded the low end filet to only 6 ounces which is less than inch thick. It is obviously of lower quality beef as well. Cook this wrong by even a minute and it gets ruined. Tie this in with a blooming onion and loafs of bread that are about 30 smaller than in the past and you realize the cost cutters have taken over and the quality at this spot has gone downhill in a big way. Off to find a new steakhouse I guess. When cooks can't get steak right , time to move on. For a 180 dollar bill, This place isn't worth it anymore.

Salad was drowned in dressing. Steak was okay. I could have made it better and I have definitely had better. Shrimps were too salty and I only got 4 with my dinner portion of the steak and shrimps. Presentation of the plate was horrible. My broccoli, steak and shrimp looked like they had a fight and couldn't stand to be next to each other on the plate. Is there a 5 years-old working as chef there? Will NEVER be back to any locations. Visit stickey fingers if you want steak or BBQ. Fleeting landing or Coast for seafood.

Sat at the bar (my usual when I'm by myself and out of town on business). Tina and Tim were a great team behind the bar! I ordered the chicken and shrimp combo. The chicken was great, but the shrimp needed a little longer on the grill. They're supposed to be pink not gray lol! Tina recognized me from another time that I had been there which is always nice! I would've gone back the next night but neither Tina nor Tim was working behind the bar, and I could hear the concern in their voice regarding whoever was gonna be behind the bar. Ha! I'll definitely go back when I'm in this neck of the woods!!

Service was great, even for it being so busy, but the food really isn't very good. The steak is tough (med-well), the fries are gross, our blooming onion was a bunch breading that was soggy. I would not return here unless I was going with someone who absolutely insisted it would ruin their night if we didn't go.

Had to wait a long time and it was not a high traffic hour. Although I will say they comp'd our appetizer because of the wait. Food is what you should expect from a chain. My steak was ok but my "loaded" baked potato was so unloaded that I took it home, loaded it and ate it the next day. I must give kudos to our waiter. He was great and unfortunately forgot to get his name. Yes, I will end up returning because my daughter begs to come for the bloomin onion but it will never be my first choice.

The avocado and crab stack was amazing!!! The wasabi vinaigrette gives an amazing kick to it! It was our first time here, my boyfriend ordered a filet mignon with unlimited shrimps, he didn't complain... Now on my side, I ordered the Tilapia with Pure Lump crab meat, it was delicious! However... The mashed potatoes was served completely cold, servers were completely absent, even though we wanted to ask for more shrimp and let them know my mashed potatoes were cold... I was about to finish my tilapia when we called other waiter, and he just said ok, didn't even apologize nor for the wait or the mashed potatoes being cold. Eventually I got a new side... Which was indeed hot. I would say food taste is pretty good, but judging the service we received I'm not quite sure I would go back, the staffs attitude was pretty much careless.

I am a sucker for their sirloin, salad and fries. Not that it is outstanding but just a great combination for me. Being used to Outback Steakhouse, I get a consistent quality. So, yes, I'll be back. Also, I must say that their lunch price (before 5:00 PM) are quite attractive, just a little bit more than McDonald...

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences that I have ever had. My mother's shrimp kabob was cold. It took almost another 20 minutes to even get the waiter's attention. The restaurant had no excuse for the terrible service and the bad food. I asked for a medium steak. It was the most rubbery steak I have eve had. We never received a refill of drinks either because we couldn't find out waiter. We will Not go back here. It is sad. I am new here and need a good steak house in town.

Visiting this Outback is a roll of the dice experience. It can either be real good or real bad. I've been 3 times and 2 of the 3 were disappointing. The last visit was for lunch and it started off bad when they informed us they had no sweet tea. You might as well run over my dog too. They were also having issues with their A/C, which made for a less than comfortable meal. Got a steak and ordered it medium. I know cooking a steak perfectly is tough, but mine came out with very little to no pink, basically medium well to well. The staff was nice but the service was slow. They blamed the delay on a big take-out order.

I got a gift card for Christmas but I decided to do my research. I knew what we were going to order and found out I could place us on a waiting list online. We got there and the lobby was full, some folks were waiting over an hour. Within 10 minutes we were seated. The staff was attentive, friendly, and easy going. 3 tables around us with large parties were being compted by the manager (sad, but big parties can be a big pain in the back side). Our food came out right away, it was hot, and tasty. I had a french onion soup and a steak salad which is idiot proof, there is no way you can mess this up. Experience was nice, location was great, other than small parking lot...Zero complaints from me. Keep up the great job.

One of the few places I'll go out and get a steak. I can still do it better at home(ego), but theirs are always pretty darn good. Go for the ribeye on the woodfire grill, yum, no sauce needed. This location always seems to get the temps right too, so be confident you'll get what you ordered. I'm also a big fan of the Ceasar salad here. Don't know what it is about it, but I love it. Giant glass of Fosters. Need I say more? Don't bother coming here on a Friday or Saturday night, even early. 1-2 hour wait and the bar is too packed to even have a drink while you wait.

Food was awesome per usual. But the wait staff are the real winners here. Waitress like Ann and Heather are the bomb! Never an empty glass when their around! Thanks for a great evening ladies!

The waiter that we had was very good, his name is Joey. Just the the little extras ex extra sauce with our bloom n onion was nice

Our server, Ry (?), was the best. The food was good, not great... but Ry made the whole meal fantastic. (Otherwise, would have been 2.5 stars.)

I really enjoy eating here. It is a definite once a week for me maybe twice if I am in the area around dinner time.

The waitress was nice and the food just alright besides the pork chops which were very good. Wish I got what my sister in law got! Don't get discourage by my rating. I would go back its just I've had better food overall at other places.
